Jonathan Miller, President/CEO and co-founder of residential real estate appraisal firm Miller Samuel and co-founder and Managing Principal of commercial real estate appraisal firm Miller Cicero has been a real estate appraiser and consultant for 25 years. He is the author of a series of real estate market reports with an annualized distribution in both print and Internet downloads of more than 1,000,000 copies. These reports are widely used by local, regional, national and international media, as well as national and local lending institutions and government agencies. Jonathan provides real estate commentary, speaking often in the media on national and local housing market issues. He is a frequent speaker at real estate and appraisal functions and sits on a number of advisory panels.
The New York Observer included him in their Power 100 for 2011, 2009 and 2008 in their highly scientific, intensely analytic ranking methodology.
It’s not clear how a real estate appraiser became one of the most visible real estate icons…but when the media-savvy, Web-connected Mr. Miller speaks, New York listens. His market reports are like a quarterly Super Bowl.

Literary shortcomings
While he proofs the content for typos and grammar before uploading, he readily acknowledges his grammatical shortcomings and has been, in fact, accused of “intentionally dangling participles” and is more formally known in some circles as the “King of Commas.” He probably indulges in shameless self-promotion a bit too much but does that to make up for the fact that bloggers are NOT journalists and some are simply, well, mean.
